Despite the court notice, Munesh Gurjar did not appear in court, this big reason came to light

Jaipur : ACB has presented a charge sheet against Jaipur Municipal Corporation Heritage’s Mayor Munesh Gurjar today on Thursday 19 September. A total of 2502 pages of challan has been presented in the court. Mayor Munesh Gurjar also had to be present in the court while presenting the challan. ACB had also issued a notice to her to appear in the court but despite the notice, Munesh did not appear in the court. Munesh’s lawyer Advocate Deepak Chauhan said that Prathia is unwell. She has been suffering from back pain for a few days. Advocate Chauhan also presented the medical documents of Munesh being ill and getting treatment from the doctor in the court.

Munesh Gurjar is undergoing treatment in Delhi

According to Advocate Deepak Chauhan, Munesh Gurjar is unwell. She is undergoing treatment at a big hospital in Delhi and the doctors have advised her to take bed rest for 7 days. Presenting the medical certificate, Advocate Chauhan said that Munesh is unable to appear in court until her health improves. Advocate Deepak Chauhan also said that all the allegations leveled against Munesh are baseless and without facts. The FIR registered by the ACB is also not correct. Neither could the ACB present evidence of demanding bribe nor was any recovery made. In such a situation, all the allegations against Munesh in the corruption and bribery case are the result of political animosity.

Three notices have been given to the mayor

Mayor Munesh Gurjar has received three notices in the last 10 days. The first notice was issued by the Department of Autonomous Governance on September 12. The Department of Autonomous Governance (DLB) had sought clarification from Munesh about the allegations against him. DLB gave three days to respond to the notice but Munesh did not respond. The next day, on September 13, the ACB also issued a notice and requested Munesh to be present in the court on September 19 when the challan is presented. On September 17, DLB issued another notice to Munesh Gurjar and asked him to submit a reply within three days.

When the husband got caught in a bribery case, the mayor wife also got involved

Last year on 4 August 2023, the ACB team arrested Mayor Munesh Gurjar’s husband Sushil Gurjar and his two associates red handed while taking a bribe of Rs 2 lakh. Mayor’s husband Sushil had taken a bribe in lieu of issuing a lease. When the ACB searched the house of Sushil and Munesh, 41 lakh rupees in cash were found. Along with this, many files related to the lease were also found. The necessary files for issuing the lease, which should have been in the mayor’s office, were found at the mayor’s house. After investigation, the ACB also considered the mayor to be involved in corruption and bribery case. The previous Congress government had not issued prosecution approval to run a case against Munesh Gurjar, but recently the Bhajanlal government issued prosecution approval after the intervention of the court, after which the court considered Munesh Gurjar as the accused and presented the charge sheet.
