Mumbai, December 4 (IANS). Maharashtra will get its next Chief Minister on December 5. Preparations for the Chief Minister’s swearing-in ceremony are going on at Azad Maidan.
However, there is still doubt regarding the Chief Minister’s face. BJP MLAs want that Devendra Fadnavis should become the next Chief Minister. In this regard, a meeting of the BJP legislature party is to be held on Wednesday. In this meeting, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and former Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani have been sent as central observers.
Before the legislature party meeting, BJP MLAs have said that the support of all the MLAs is with Devendra Fadnavis.
Newly elected BJP MLA Praveen Vasantrao Tayde told IANS that we are choosing Devendra Fadnavis for the post of Chief Minister. He is a leader who can bring positive change and betterment in Maharashtra. Devendra Fadnavis is the first choice. Let’s take everyone along. All MLAs will elect him only. He has experience of running the government for five years. Eknath Shinde is not angry. I can’t speak about them. But, he is ill.
Newly elected BJP MLA Ravi Raja said that Devendra Fadnavis will be the next Chief Minister of Maharashtra, he will take oath soon. The entire party supports this decision. Maharashtra needs the leadership of Devendra Fadnavis for further progress. Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar will work as deputy CMs. When Devendra Fadnavis, being the Chief Minister, had accepted the post of Deputy CM in the previous government for the benefit of the people of Maharashtra. There is up and down in politics. Same thing will happen this time too.
Newly elected MLA from BJP Bhimrao Keram has said that from 2014 to 2019, Devendra Fadnavis ran the government effectively. Most of the MLAs are of the opinion of making Devendra Fadnavis the CM of Maharashtra.
BJP leader Kumar Elani has said that Devendra Fadnavis is a great leader and it is because of him that so many MLAs have been elected in Maharashtra. His hard work, strength and contribution to the party is very important. We all want Devendra Fadnavis to become the leader. This is my opinion, although everyone has their own opinion.
