Mumbai, December 5 (IANS). Devendra Fadnavis is going to take oath as the new Chief Minister of Maharashtra on Thursday. The swearing-in ceremony will take place at 5:30 pm at the historic Azad Maidan in Mumbai. Devendra Fadnavis will take oath as the Chief Minister of Maharashtra. Devyani Farande, BJP MLA from Nashik Central Assembly seat of Maharashtra, while congratulating Fadnavis, expressed hope that women will be given importance in the cabinet.
Devyani told IANS that our dear leader Devendra Fadnavis is going to take oath as the Chief Minister. He has always respected women and worked to give opportunities to the youth. Women voted for BJP in large numbers in the elections and we hope that women will get proper representation in the cabinet. She further said that 33% reservation has been kept for women in the BJP organization and she hopes that women will get greater responsibility in the new cabinet of Fadnavis.
He said, we hope that women of BJP will get important responsibilities in the coming cabinet. Some people are saying that Eknath Shinde is angry, but it is not so. He is a big leader and his faith in the party is strong. In the last five years, Fadnavis served the state in difficult circumstances. With his administrative ability and patience, we hope to get good results in the coming five years. He will bring Ganga of development to Maharashtra.
Let us tell you that in the Maharashtra Assembly elections, the BJP-led Mahayuti alliance registered a landslide victory, winning 235 seats out of 288. The result marked an important milestone for the BJP, which emerged as the largest party with 132 seats. Whereas, Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) suffered a major setback, in which Congress got only 16 seats. Alliance partner Shiv Sena (UBT) won 20 seats, while NCP (Sharad Pawar faction) got only 10 seats.
