Dhanush’s lawyer will initiate legal action against Nayanthara

Mumbai, November 18 (IANS). Days after actress Nayanthara accused Dhanush of demanding Rs 10 crore for alleged copyright infringement of her Netflix documentary, the actor’s legal team has issued a strong statement.

Dhanush’s lawyer has threatened to take legal action if the controversial material infringing the copyright of the film ‘Naanum Rowdy Dhaan’ is not removed within 24 hours.

The statement said, advise your client to remove within 24 hours the material infringing my client’s copyright on the film ‘Naanum Rowdy Dhaan’, which is being used in your client’s documentary ‘Nayanthara Beyond the Fairytale’ Has been done Failure to do so will force my client to initiate appropriate legal action against your client and Netflix India, including seeking damages up to Rs 10 crore.

The actor’s lawyer also refuted Nayanthara’s claim that the content in question was only behind-the-scenes footage captured on a personal phone.

The statement further said, “My client is the producer of the film and he knows where he has spent every single penny for the production of the film. Your client stated that my client did not employ anyone to shoot behind-the-scenes footage. This statement is baseless. Your client will have to present evidence for this.”

Let us tell you that on November 16, the ‘Jawaan’ actress posted an open letter on Instagram, in which she criticized Dhanush, saying that he had reached an “all-time low” after demanding compensation of Rs 10 crore from her. . This demand was highlighted by a 3-second clip of Nayanthara’s film “Naanum Rowdy Dhaan”, produced by Dhanush. This clip was used in the trailer of the docuseries.

Nayanthara had said, “Your legal notice after the release of the trailer of the Netflix documentary is even more shocking. We were shocked to read the lines in which you questioned the use of some videos (just 3 seconds) which were published in our Was shot in personal devices and that too BTS visual which is already publicly available on social media and just for 3 seconds claimed damages of Rs 10 crore.

The fuming actress said “This is the lowest you’ve ever been and says a lot about your character. I wish you were the one to be on stage at the audio launch in front of your fans, but clearly what you preach is Give, but don’t follow it.”
