Dholpur 92 percent Rabi crop sowing done, target near

Dholpur : 92 percent sowing of Rabi crop has been completed in Dholpur district. There are still 08 percent farmers left for sowing. As winter has increased, farmers have increased the rate of sowing of wheat. So far wheat sowing has been done 3 percent more than the target in the district and it is still continuing in many areas. If seen overall, the target set by the Agriculture Department is close to achieving 1 lakh 51 thousand hectares. The Agriculture Department is 8 steps away from the sowing target of Rabi crop. So far 91.44 percent Rabi crop has been sown in the district. However, agricultural scientists say that now there is enough winter for sowing of crops. Farmers should not delay at all. If sowing is delayed now, sowing will lag behind. In the current Rabi season 2024-25, the Agriculture Department has set a target of sowing in 1 lakh 51 thousand hectares in the entire district. In which a target of 8000 hectares was set for wheat 52 thousand hectares, gram 1000 hectares, mustard 90 thousand hectares and other crops. Rabi sowing, which started from October 15, has been completed till December 2. Sowing of mustard, gram and lentils has been completed. Whereas wheat sowing is still remaining. In this, sowing of wheat has also been completed by about 90 percent.

Mustard was sown in 73 thousand hectares

Mustard production has always been good in the district. The Agriculture Department has also always been ready regarding this. The area for sowing mustard is also increased. This year, a sowing target of 90 thousand hectares was set for mustard. Out of which 73 thousand 2 hundred 79 hectares have been sown so far. That means till now only 81.42 percent sowing has been done. Regarding less sowing, Agriculture Department officials say that due to the delay in sowing of mustard due to the fields being filled with monsoon water for a long time, farmers are sowing wheat instead of mustard. Due to which the sowing percentage of wheat has increased.

Wheat area of 52 thousand hectares: According to the Agriculture Department, the target of sowing wheat alone in the maximum area of 52 thousand hectares in the district has been set. Out of this, wheat has been sown in more than 100 percent i.e. 53 thousand 518 hectares. Which is 3 percent more than the target. Agriculture Department officials say that the wheat sowing figures may increase further. Because in many areas, farmers are sowing wheat only due to not being able to do mustard.
