Dholpur : Dholpur: Before the rain water forced a large population of the city to be imprisoned in their homes and now the dirty sewerage water is blocking the way for the people. The situation is that sewerage lines are overflowing in many colonies and localities in the city. Now dirty water is coming out of the chambers day and night. Due to dirty water filling the main roads, it has become difficult for the local people to move out. On the other hand, despite complaints, the city council has not been able to find any solution to stop the drainage of dirty sewerage water. Officials say that the sewerage lines are clogged due to which water is not able to reach Tagawali STP at its capacity. The city council had also floated a tender for cleaning sewerage lines, but no contractor participated in the tender on Monday. Due to which the problem has deepened further.
Water not reaching Tagawali STP beyond capacity: Dirty sewerage water reaches the STP (Sewerage Treatment Plant) located at village Tagawali behind the railway station. Water is purified here so that it can be used for agricultural purposes. Due to sewerage lines laid at various places in the city, water is no longer reaching the STP plant at its full capacity. Due to which the lines are filled with water and it is overflowing in colonies and localities at various places.
100 lakh liters per day cleaning capacity of STP: The capacity of cleaning dirty sewerage water of the STP plant operated in Tagawali is 10 MLD in 24 hours i.e. 100 lakh liters of water can be cleaned every day. Whereas the capacity of the STP plant located at Sagarpada is only 3 MLD i.e. it can clean only 30 lakh liters of water. In this, the Sagarpada plant is based on the new SBR technology. In SBR technology water bacteria are eliminated and it can be used in farming. However, this water is not suitable for drinking.
