Dholpur : Dholpur These days, Railways is focusing on armor system to make rail travel safe. This armor system will prevent accidents and make the railways more safe to travel. On the other hand, North-Central Railway has started work regarding the armor system. Green signal has been given to 2500 km Kavach work in NCR. Out of which the tender process has started for 1300 km work. It is believed that work will start in NCR in the coming days. North Central Railway is one of the leading railway zones to implement Kavach system on its main routes. This system is being installed on all the major routes of North Central Railway. This system is being installed on Delhi-Howrah, Delhi-Mumbai and Delhi-Chennai routes.
Trial has been done in Agra division
Let us tell you that the trial of armor equipped Vande Bharat (22469/70 and 20171/172) car sets has been done in Bhuteshwar-Palwal section in Agra division of North Central Railway. Bhuteshwar-Palwal 80 route km stretch in North Central Railway is now fully equipped with Kavach system and has been commissioned. In this section, site installation and testing activities of Kavach version 3.2 have been completed. Which includes STCAS/LC TCAS installation, tower erection, RFID installation, FAT and SET using loco simulator etc. In Bhuteshwar (Chhodkar)-Palwal (Chhodkar) section, 14 Station Armors, 29 Remote Interface Units (RIUs), 14 Field Input Extender Units (FIEs) have been installed in Stations & Cabins and Auto Huts/LSCs. At the same time, North Central Railway has also done the important work of installation of Kavach 4.0 system in Prayagraj-Kanpur section. Light engine loco trials are being conducted here.
Training given to 4381 pilots: Armor training has been given to 4381 loco pilots/assistant loco pilots/loco inspectors of the three divisions of North Central Railway. In which the high speed crew is covered. This number is the highest in Indian Railways. Regular class room and lab simulator training for Loco Pilots and Loco Inspectors is being conducted at Project Office Mathura. Regular counseling is being given to loco pilots during Kavach loco trials.
