Dholpur Social Security Pension Scheme became a boon for destitute people

Dholpur : Dholpur Social Security Pension Scheme is proving to be a boon for the destitute. Till now, 152457 beneficiaries including urban and rural areas are taking benefit of the scheme in the district. Out of which 126819 people from rural areas and 25638 people from urban areas are connected to the scheme. Verification of 7133 people is still left. The new BJP government in the state has increased the social security pension to Rs 1150. The social security pension scheme organized by the state government includes National Old Age Pension Scheme, National Disability Pension Scheme, National Widow Pension Scheme, Chief Minister Single Women Pension Scheme, Beneficiaries under Chief Minister Special Qualified People Equal Pension Scheme, Chief Minister Old Age Equal Pension Scheme, 159590 people of the district have applied to avail the benefits of the scheme. Out of which 152457 beneficiaries have been verified. Who are now benefiting from the scheme. Verification of 7133 people is still pending. That means the percentage of verification in the district was 95.63. However, the verification period for session 23-24 has ended. The remaining verifications and new verifications are being verified in the session of 24-25.

7133 elderly people are taking advantage of the scheme

Social Security Pension Scheme is a group of many schemes. But among these, Old Age Pension Scheme, Single Women Pension and Disabled Pension Scheme are prominent. The number of elderly beneficiaries up to 75 years of age in the Old Age Pension Scheme is high. In the district, 5274 beneficiaries of this age group and a total of 7133 elderly people including 1845 beneficiaries of 75 to 99 years and 14 beneficiaries of 99 years are taking advantage of this scheme.

Pension increased from Rs 1,000 to Rs 1,150

Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma has increased the social security pension from Rs 1000 to Rs 1150. But the situation is such that 90.30 lakh people are not getting the benefits of the Social Security Scheme since last 3 months. This pension is available to the elderly, disabled, Kalnari and senior farmers. Many of them are completely dependent on this zodiac sign.

Beneficiary verification can be done through e-Mitra: Social security pension beneficiaries can get the pension verification done for annual verification through E-Mitra Kendra or E-Mitra Kiosk, through biometric and Android mobile app through OTP on the mobile linked to the beneficiary’s Aadhaar from the concerned approving officer. In case of non-verification, payment of pension amount will be stopped.
