Dholpur STP plant closed, water being thrown directly without cleaning

Dholpur : At present the residents of the city are finding it difficult to get relief from the dirty water rising from the sewerage chambers in Dholpur city. Due to this, the Sewerage Treatment Plant (STP) located at Tagawali near the city is closed due to upgradation work. At the same time, the sewerage water reaching the city is now being released directly into the ravine through the pump house. That means leaving water without treatment. At the same time, the pump house from which water is being released is also not able to function at its full capacity. Due to the cable of the pump house being cut, it is running only for a few hours from the generator. Due to water not being drawn efficiently, dirty water from chambers is spreading on the roads at many places in the city. People who have caused trouble.

New STP plant of 10 MLD being built: On the other hand, under the Amrit 2.0 scheme, a new sewerage treatment plant is being constructed near the old STP plant. This treatment plant is being constructed keeping in mind the expansion of the city and more water from sewerage reaching the plant in the future. The new STP plant will be able to treat 10 MLD water in 24 hours. At the same time, in the old plant also the same amount of water will be treated and thrown out.

Old plant did not meet NGT standards

Let us tell you that the old STP plant located at Tagawali was not meeting the rules of NGT. The water testing samples from the STP plant were failing and were not following the prescribed guidelines. On which this plant is now being built according to SBR technology, which will throw out more water with more purity. Presently this plant was running on UASB technology which is outdated.
