Sikar : All India Safai Mazdoor Congress demonstrated outside the Municipal Council on Tuesday, alleging discrimination in direct recruitment of sanitation workers. President of the organization, Suresh Kumar Dhikiya said that by discriminating against the candidates of Valmiki community, they are being deprived of the recruitment of sanitation workers of the Autonomous Government Department in the municipal bodies. Despite repeatedly informing the government, no relief has been received so far except assurances.
He said that on Monday, the Safai Karmachari Sangh had submitted a letter to the district administration warning of indefinite strike if positive action was not taken on the problem, but when no action was taken, the organization stopped the cleaning work and started an indefinite strike. He said that the District Administration and Autonomous Government Department are responsible for all the problems arising due to the strike.
