Jaipur : The dispute over the Jaipur Rural Lok Sabha election results has reached the High Court (Rajasthan High Court). Now the first hearing of this case will be held in the High Court on August 5. Congress candidate Anil Chopra has reached the High Court against the election results. This case will be heard in the court of Justice Umashankar Vyas. There was a lot of uproar over this seat even at the time of the results. Congress leaders had demanded re-counting here. The leaders had talked about going to court after losing by a close margin and now the matter has reached the court.
Rao Rajendra Singh of BJP became MP
BJP’s Rao Rajendra Singh had won from Jaipur Rural seat. He defeated Congress candidate Anil Chopra by 1615 votes. During the counting of votes, there was a huge uproar at the counting center located at Commerce College. Congress candidate Anil Chopra had accused the Returning Officer of irregularities in the counting of votes. He had then said that he kept us waiting for 4 hours and assured us that he would hear our complaint, but did not do so. He did not show the cancelled votes.
Congress had already said that it would go to court
Our state president Govind Singh Dotasara was not allowed to come, but the BJP candidate brought the Jamwaramgarh MLA with him. The MLA whispered to the officials and I was not heard. Now he has gone to court regarding this matter. On the result of Jaipur Rural Lok Sabha seat, Pilot had said “There was no transparency there”. The way votes were cancelled, a young candidate had to face defeat. We will also go to court. Congress state president Govind Singh Dotasara also kept on alleging that Anil Chopra was deliberately defeated. After this, Congress candidate Anil Chopra also called a Mahapanchayat.
