Jaisalmer : The District Legal Services Authority has taken cognizance of the movement of villagers against the work being done by a private solar company in Baiya village of Fatehgarh subdivision area of Jaisalmer district. Authority Secretary and ADJ Kishore Kumar Talepa has written a letter to Jaisalmer Collector in this regard. In which he has asked to present a factual report regarding the matter. According to the information, in a letter written to the Collector, the authority said that from the news published in newspapers, it has come to light that a private company is going to construct GSS in Baiya village of Jaisalmer and regarding the demand to get the rural area registered in the revenue records. Protesting. Villagers are also expressing fear of increase in heat and damage to cultural heritage and environment due to installation of solar plant on this land. It is worth noting that under the Legal Services Authority Act, 1987, the work of legal service institutions is not limited to Lok Adalat, legal aid and legal consciousness but is also to protect the interests and rights of the common people. On this basis, the authority has taken cognizance in the Baiya case.
Demand to register Oran and Gochar
It is noteworthy that the villagers of the area have been opposing the efforts of a private solar company to construct a GSS in Baiya village of the border district for the last fortnight. Shiv MLA Ravindra Singh Bhati is leading this protest, due to which the matter has gained momentum. Recently, after Bhati freed two villagers detained by the police, a case has been registered against them in Jhinjhinyali police station. The police administration has already said that it will be investigated by CID-CB. On the other hand, Jaisalmer MLA Chhotu Singh Bhati reached Baiya last Monday and informed the District Collector about the demands of the villagers there. On which the Collector has also called the villagers for talks.
