Jaipur News Desk: The markets are all set for Diwali. Some markets are shining with collective decorations. Whereas other outer markets along with the park will be lit up on 29th October. On Friday, Jaipur Discom has given permission to traders to pay at normal non-domestic category rates for temporary electricity connections of more than 25 MW for Diwali decorations.
After Kishanpol and Khatipura-Jhotwara, Sikar Road also got illuminated with lights on Friday. Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari switched on the lighting on Sikar Road. With this the market sparkled with lights. On this occasion, recitations of Hanuman Chalika also resonated. Sikar Road Trade Federation President Dinesh Mittal said that the market will remain lit till November 3. Lighting was tested in Chandpol market, during which the market was bathed in lights. Chandpol Bazaar Vyapar Mandal President Subhash Goyal said that Ashok Vatika will also be seen in the collective decoration in the market. The switching on of lighting on MI Road will take place on 28th October, whereas in Mahesh Nagar, lighting will start as part of mass decoration in the market from 27th October.
For group decoration, electricity will be available at normal rate of non-domestic category.
Jaipur Discom has decided to provide electricity at the normal rate of non-domestic category to traders and for mass decoration in the markets. They will be able to get electricity at non-domestic rate at load more than 25 kilowatts. In case of not getting discount, traders would have to pay one and a half times the normal rate. This time this relaxation will be for seven days instead of five. Jaipur Trade Federation General Secretary Suresh Saini said that Jaipur Discom has given this exemption on the demand of the federation.
