Lakshmi puja on one date is best
According to Pandit Ashok Vyas, confusion is being created unnecessarily. According to the scriptures, worshiping Lakshmi during Pradosh period is best. This time there is Amavasya on 31st October and 1st November. It is said in the scriptures that if there is Amavasya Tithi till one Ghati after Pradosh Kaal on 1st November then Diwali will be celebrated on the next day. In the 80 calendars of the country, the auspicious time of Diwali is on November 1. Pradosh Kaal is prominent in Lakshmi worship. Both days are Pradosh Kaal and there is a rule in the religious scriptures to celebrate Diwali on the second day. There is Amavasya for two days in Pradosh period. If the Amavasya of the second day is one Ghati or more in Pradosh Kaal, then celebrating Diwali is according to the scriptures. Vyas also talked about celebrating Diwali on November 1.
