Jaipur : Resident doctors of Rajasthan, who were on strike in support of the nationwide movement against the rape and murder of a female trainee doctor in Kolkata, ended their strike after 11 days. Jaipur Association of Resident Doctors (JARD) President Dr. Manohar Seoul said that in a meeting on Thursday night, it was decided to withdraw the strike after the assurance of the Supreme Court and the state government. On Friday morning, all the doctors will go to their respective work as before. Due to this decision, long queues of patients can be seen in almost all the hospitals of Rajasthan today.
‘Go back to work, there will be no action’
During the hearing of the case, the Supreme Court had asked the protesting doctors to return to work. They were also assured that no adverse action would be taken against them after returning to work. Due to this, the Federation of Resident Doctors Association (FORDA), a major body of RDAs across the country, announced its decision to withdraw the strike, and asked the resident doctors to return to their duty again. At the same time, the Federation of All India Medical Association (FAIMA), the leading organization of doctors, also announced its decision to withdraw the protest.
Services will start from 8 am today
Udaipur Resident Doctors Association Secretary Dr. Jatin Prajapati informed that due to the strike, OPD, Elective OT and Ward duties were closed till now. But from 8:00 am on Friday, these will start again as before. The RDA of entire Rajasthan and the Resident Doctors Association of Udaipur had called a GBM, in which this decision has been taken. Apart from this, our union will form a committee, which will submit its report in a week. Through this, the administration will be told what are the problems of the resident doctors.
