CMHO Dr. Nirmal Singh said that on Tuesday, health workers at the medical institutions, Anganwadi centers and educational institutions of the district screened children, adolescents, pregnant and lactating women and took iron and folic acid supplements to ensure that there is no anemia in the body. He told that children aged between 6 months to 59 months, out-of-school children of five to nine years, all out-of-school adolescent girls between 10 to 19 years and married women of 20 to 24 years,

Pregnant and lactating mothers were examined by Asha Sahyogini at Anganwadi center on the basis of symptoms and given iron tablets. Apart from this, iron tablets were given to students from class five to class 12 in government schools. Children of six to 59 months, children of five to nine years, teenagers of 10 to 19 years and married women of 20 to 24 years, pregnant and lactating women were also given Iron Folic Acid tablets at medical institutions.
