Jaisalmer : Sensation spread when the body of a woman was found hanging from a tree in a remote Kunda village of Jaisalmer district. Jhinjhinali police got information about this on Sunday night. Then the police informed the family members of the deceased Ashoka (27) wife of Mangaram living in Jaisalmer and after they reached the spot, the police took the body to Jawahar Hospital in Jaisalmer and kept it in the mortuary there. The family members of the deceased suspected that she was murdered for dowry. On this, the police registered a case on Monday and got the post-mortem of the body done and handed it over to the family members.

According to the information, the body of the woman was found hanging from a tree at a distance of 3 km from her house. The police also called the FSL team on the spot. The deceased’s father Deuram filed a complaint. He told that Ashoka was married to Kunda resident Mangaram in the year 2013. Since the marriage, the husband and in-laws used to harass Ashoka for dowry. The people of the society also tried to convince them but they did not listen. Deuram alleged that Ashoka’s in-laws murdered her and hung her body on a tree. On Monday, many people gathered outside the mortuary and demanded immediate action from the police in the case.
