New Delhi, November 14 (IANS). Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya has launched a nationwide appeal to strengthen the fight against doping in sports, calling on athletes, coaches and the entire sports community to join National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA) India’s ‘Know Your Medicine (KYM)’ app has been requested to be adopted. This innovative tool aims to empower athletes with vital information, helping them avoid unknowingly doping and maintain fair play.
In his message, Dr. Mandaviya highlighted the importance of integrity in sports, saying, “Our athletes are the pride of the country, and it is essential for them to have access to tools that support clean and fair competition. I wish all athletes, coaches “And encourage sports professionals to download and use the KYM app to eliminate unintentional doping and contribute to a fair and transparent sports culture.”
The KYM app is part of NADA India’s broader mission to increase anti-doping awareness and education, equipping athletes with the information they need to stay clean. The app allows users to easily verify whether a specific medicine or its ingredients contain any substance listed as prohibited by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA). By offering this quick and seamless verification, the KYM app helps athletes stay informed and maintain the integrity of the game, promoting a culture of fair and ethical sportsmanship.
Its unique features of image and audio search enable the user to select their sports category and search information related to the specific sport, making it convenient for the user to access the desired information easily.
