Barmer News Desk Balotra District Police is taking action against illegal gravel mining. The police had seized a dumper a week ago. During this time the driver had emptied the gravel and ran away. Now the driver has been arrested. He is being interrogated about the gravel mafia. According to the police, on December 3, 2024, Pachpadra police station, while taking action against illegal gravel mining, had seized an unnumbered dumper. Earlier, the driver had fled from the spot after emptying the gravel from the dumper. Police have registered a case under MMDR and BNS sections and started investigation.
Also raided possible locations to arrest the driver. SI Durgaram of Pachpadra police station said – Police formed a team at the police station level to catch the absconding accused. The team raided the possible hideouts of accused Chetanram, son of Muknaram, resident of Mewanagar Jasol Balotra. On the basis of technical and information, accused Chetanram was taken into custody. The accused was arrested after he confessed to the crime. Intensive investigation is ongoing. Constables Jogaram and Hemram are involved in this action.
