Drug smuggling on Indo-Pak border, heroin worth crores found, police investigation begins

Bikaner : 4 kg heroin was recovered in four yellow packets from the farm of a farmer named Kartar Singh in 30 APD village of Anupgarh district. On 23 July also, 2 kg heroin was recovered near Nemichand post of Anupgarh. After this, BSF and police conducted a search operation. Today 4 kg heroin was recovered in four packets. The price of the recovered heroin in the international market is said to be around Rs 20 crore.

Heroin is taken to neighbouring state Punjab

The consignment of heroin coming from Pakistan is mostly taken to the neighboring state of Punjab. Big smugglers of Punjab are in contact with Pakistani smugglers. They drop consignment of heroin through drones in the Indian border, which the smugglers of Punjab reach Rajasthan to collect. The smugglers of Punjab also contact the local smugglers. They also involve them in this work by luring them with money. At present, BSF and police have jointly launched a search operation in the area.

Three heroin smugglers were arrested on July 15

On July 15, three smugglers were arrested with heroin smuggled from Pakistan to India. The three were taking heroin worth about Rs 12.5 crore to Punjab via Rajasthan. The police and CID had received inputs about a consignment of heroin coming to the Srikaranpur area from Pakistan via drones.
