Chittorgarh : Drug trade is increasing very fast in Rajasthan. Police is continuously taking action against drug trade. But despite this, drug smuggling is being done indiscriminately. Drug trade is also flourishing in Chittorgarh, Rajasthan. This is evident from the fact that Dodachura opium worth crores has been seized here. Three smugglers have been caught here in two separate cases. Apart from this, illegal weapons have also been recovered from the smugglers.
Crore worth of opium caught in blockade
The special police team of Chittorgarh district along with Bijaypur police station has taken major action against illegal drug smuggling. The police have seized more than 10 quintals and 40 kg of opium dodachura from a pickup here. Police have seized a pickup and a Swift car that was being driven, while they have also seized 12 bore guns and 11 live cartridges from the pickup and arrested one accused. The value of the seized illegal dodachura is around Rs 1.5 crore. Dodachura smuggler has also opened fire on the police. The police also opened fire for protection.
Illegal Dodachura opium has been caught during the blockade. During the blockade at Palchha Tiraha of Bijaypur police station, a Swift car came at speed and collided with the barricades. After this the Swift car driver fled from the spot. A pickup van came behind him in which three people were traveling. During this, they fired at the police. One of the three people has been caught by the police. Illegal opium worth crores of rupees was found in 55 plastic bags from the pickup van, which was about 10 quintals, 40 kg, 820 grams.
In the second incident too, smuggler caught with opium during blockade
In the second incident, Chittorgarh police station arrested two accused who were smuggling opium on a motorcycle during the blockade in Chittordi Kheda border of the police station area. A motorcycle along with 1 kg 800 grams of illegal opium has been seized from them. After these two incidents, it is clear that drug trade is going on in full swing in Chittorgarh. Even though the police is catching smugglers in the blockade. But it is necessary that the drug kingpin in Chittorgarh is caught.
