Drugs worth Rs 2 crore recovered from Barmer College students

Barmer : Police recovered drugs (MD) worth Rs 2 crore from two college students in Barmer. The students were doing drug business for two years. 987 grams of MD, 189 grams of opium milk and 11 fake number plates were recovered from the youth.

The matter is of Shastri Nagar locality of Barmer Kotwali area. Police had raided Hemraj Soni’s house here at 7 am on Saturday morning. The police action lasted for 5 hours. SP Narendra Singh Meena has given information regarding the action in the matter.

SP Narendra Singh Meena said- Both the boys were doing drug business under the guise of studies for two years. Operation Bhokal is being run by Jodhpur Range IG Vikas Kumar. The DST team had received information about drug trade here.

On Saturday morning, teams of DST in-charge, Kotwali and Sadar police together raided Hemraj Soni’s house. Student tenant Manohar Lal (19) resident of Somardi Sedwa (Barmer) and Bharat Singh (27) resident of Dhandhalon Bakhasar (Barmer) were detained. When his room was searched, a huge quantity of drugs were found.
