DSP who taught bribery was himself arrested red handed while taking bribe, know the case

When we fact checked this viral news, it was found that this claim of ACB officer taking bribe is true but this case is not from now. We also got many media reports in this regard. Actually, this incident is of 9 December 2020 when ACB DSP Bhairulal Meena was arrested while taking a bribe of 80 thousand rupees.

According to the report of Sunil Joshi associated with ‘Aaj Tak’, this case is of 9 December 2020, when the Jaipur ACB team arrested Sawai Madhopur ACB officer Bherulal red-handed while taking a bribe of Rs 80 thousand. This action was taken by the Jaipur ACB team under the direction of DG BL Soni and ADG Dinesh MM (IPS Dinesh MN).

What is the whole matter?

9 December 2020 was the occasion of ‘Anti Corruption Day’ when the DSP of ACB said in his speech that taking and giving bribe is both a crime. If someone asks for bribe, a complaint can be made by calling 1064. This ACB officer taught awareness to the common people against corruption but an hour later he himself was caught taking bribe. Actually, DSP Bherulal used to take a monthly bribe of 80 thousand rupees from Sawai Madhopur DTO Mahesh Chand. Troubled by this, Mahesh complained about this to the ACB headquarters. On the complaint of the DTO, the Jaipur ACB team took action and raided the bungalow of DSP Bherulal. When he was taking a bribe of 80 thousand rupees, the Jaipur ACB team reached there and caught him red handed. In this way, the officer who gave a statement against bribe was himself caught taking bribe.
