Jaipur News Desk: To ensure that people do not face any problem in going to their homes during the festive season, Indian Railways is going to run 164 special trains from Wednesday. About 7 thousand passengers traveling by train during Diwali and Chhath will get convenience from this decision. These festival special trains will be run from various places across the country to cities of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. These also include Secunderabad, Ahmedabad, Kottayam, Ujjain, Bhopal, New Delhi, Nagpur.
’24 hour deployment of officers’
Railway Board’s Information and Publicity Executive Director Dilip Kumar said, ‘Teams of officers have been deployed round the clock to ensure that no passenger faces any problem at the railway station during the festive season. Apart from this, Railway Police Force, Commercial and other SHGs have also been deployed for the convenience of passengers. In some areas where the Railways fears overcrowding, additional seating arrangements and rest rooms have been made for the passengers.
Holding area created at the station
Kumar further said, ‘Indian Railways is making every possible effort to ensure smooth and pleasant journey of the passengers. Our effort is to ensure that there is not much crowd at the railway stations and that people can easily reach their destinations. To ensure this, we have created holding areas at some important stations where there is a possibility of crowding. So that passengers can get space to sit and rest.
