Jaipur : The rain continues in the capital Jaipur. Heavy and moderate rain has been falling in the entire city since last night and in some places since early morning today. According to the Meteorological Department, this rain may continue throughout the day today. SDRF has been alerted amid the problem of waterlogging in low-lying areas and corporation officials are also visiting many areas of the city. Meanwhile, the basement of a house located in Vishwakarma area of Jaipur has been filled with water. Efforts to rescue the family safely from about ten feet of water continued till eight in the morning.
Vishwakarma police station reached the spot and said that the family was sleeping in the basement. Rain started around 3:30 am today and after that the basement also started filling up. When the rain suddenly intensified, water started coming into the basement even faster. Soon, the basement was filled with water up to nine feet. The father and three children were there. When the water started filling up, the neighbors informed the police about it after some time. The police informed the civil defense team about this. The civil defense team reached the spot and with the help of a water pump and motor, took out the water with great effort, otherwise the house could have collapsed and problems could have increased in the surrounding areas. However, due to the continuous filling of water, the rescue operation continued to face difficulties. The police said that there was information about four people being in the basement, currently they are investigating.
