Jaipur : The first heavy rain of monsoon in Jaipur has exposed the condition of roads. After just a short spell of rain, the roads turned into ponds of water. Potholes appeared on the roads at many places. Vehicles got stuck in them. Due to this, people were seen facing problems in traffic jams till Thursday morning. Let us tell you that the road in New Sanganer Road and Malviya Nagar was damaged due to the rain on Wednesday night. At the same time, potholes have also appeared on the roads in Khatipura, Hasanpura, Raisar Plaza, No. 4 Dispensary, Jalmahal Road, Jhotwara Road, Niwaru Road, Dadi Ka Phatak, Sirsi Road, Kalwad Road area.

6 feet long pit on New Sanganer Road

After the rain in Jaipur on Wednesday night, around 11.30 pm, a 6 feet long pothole was formed on New Sanganer Road. Which is said to be 5 feet deep. When the local residents informed the officials of the Municipal Corporation and Jaipur Development Authority about this, no officer or employee reached the spot late at night. The local people saved the common people from falling into the pothole by barricading at their own level. On Thursday morning, officials of the Corporation and JDA reached the spot. They started looking for the reason for the pothole. But when it was not found, the road was dug up. Due to this, the traffic is moving slowly on New Sanganer Road.

A pit has already formed at some distance from here

Local resident Manvendra Singh said- This road was built with very poor quality. Since then, every time it rains, there is a deep pothole on the New Sanganeer Road. Last time there was a deep pothole near Lazeez Restaurant. This time there is a pothole near pillar number 72. Due to this, there is an atmosphere of fear in the minds of local residents. In such a situation, we demand from the government that this road and the sewerage line here should be repaired so that such accidents do not happen in future.

The road in Malviya Nagar sank up to 3 feet

The road on Park Avenue Road in Malviya Nagar, Jaipur sank 3 feet up to 20 feet. Due to this, the electricity pole installed on the road also got hung up. The power supply of this entire area was cut off. The vehicles parked on the road also came under the pothole. They were taken out with the help of a crane. The Municipal Corporation administration did not repair it even 12 hours after the road caved in. Local residents have expressed their displeasure over this. Local resident Rinku said – For the last 3 years, Park Avenue Road has been sinking in the rain. This year also, like every year, the road has caved in. It has not been repaired by the Municipal Corporation or JDA administration. Rather, like every year, an attempt is being made to hide their mistake by putting soil. Which can again cause trouble for the general public in the upcoming rain.

The event happens every year

Local resident Deepak said- After this accident, the power of the entire area was cut off. At 12 midnight, the administration switched on the power for a while. But the power went off again. Due to this, hundreds of families are facing problems. Deepak said- The officials of Nagar Nigam and Jaipur Development Authority are also well aware that a drain flows nearby. Every year such an accident happens here during the rains. In such a situation, they should strengthen the drainage system. They should not try to hide their mistakes by putting mud. If no solid arrangement is made this time, the general public will strongly oppose it.

People were also troubled at Khatipura Tiraha and Sirsi Road

There is a two feet deep pit on the road before the red light of Khatipura Tiraha. The wheels of vehicles keep getting stuck in it, which have to be pushed out. At present, due to the negligence of the government and administration, common people are facing problems at Khatipura Tiraha. Drivers are also facing problems due to waterlogging at Kalra Petrol Pump on Sirsi Road. Abhishek Surana, Commissioner of Jaipur Municipal Corporation Heritage, said – After the rain in the city, complaints of waterlogging and potholes have been received at many places. Municipal Corporation officials are deployed in the field to repair them. Work will be done to provide relief to the general public by repairing the potholes as soon as possible.
