Jaipur : More than 315 dams in Rajasthan are completely filled. After the Bisalpur dam, which quenches the thirst of Jaipur, Ajmer and Tonk, overflowed, two of its gates were opened on Friday, but due to heavy rains in Udaipur and Bhilwara in South Rajasthan, there is a strong inflow of water in the catchment area of the dam. The Triveni river flowing into the dam is flowing at a diameter of 4.10 meters. Due to this, two more gates of the dam had to be opened.
Only 4 dams were full before the monsoon season
In this monsoon season, the maximum inflow has been in the dams of Rajasthan. At the beginning of the monsoon season, on 15 June, out of 691 dams in Rajasthan, only 4 dams were completely full. Whereas 530 dams were completely empty and 157 dams were partially filled. Whereas as of 7 September, more than 315 dams in the state are full to the brim. Whereas 262 dams are partially filled and 114 dams are completely empty.
