Due to heavy rains, schools in Ajmer declared holiday, know the latest update

Ajmer : Rajasthan is getting special blessings of monsoon this time. The state has been drenched due to continuous rain. Many dams of the state are overflowing. Due to heavy rains, the gates of Bisalpur Dam were opened on Thursday. Earlier, Mahi Dam of Baswara was also opened. Rain has badly affected the life of people in many districts of the state. Heavy rains have been continuing in Ajmer for the last few days. Roads have been submerged due to rain in Ajmer. Meanwhile, the weather department has predicted further rains in the forecast. In view of this, the Ajmer administration has declared a holiday in schools.

Schools closed due to heavy rain in Ajmer

In fact, in view of the possibility of heavy floods and rain in Ajmer, holidays have been declared in the schools of the district on 7th and 8th September. Acting District Magistrate Gajendra Singh Rathore said that the Meteorological Department and other agencies have issued an alert for the possibility of heavy rains and floods for Ajmer district. To protect the students from possible untoward incidents and keeping in mind the overall student interest and health, there will be a holiday on Saturday, 7th September and Sunday, 8th September for all the students from class 1st to 12th in all the government and non-government schools of the district.

Provide immediate relief to people trapped in water: Devnani

On the other hand, on Friday, Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani inspected the waterlogged areas of Ajmer. During the inspection with the officials, he asked the district administration and police to remain alert 24 hours a day, especially at night. Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani instructed that the district administration should start pump sets in the waterlogged areas and remove water. People are stranded in the district areas, relief should be provided there. NDRF and all departments related to flood protection should remain alert 24 hours a day. If any kind of problem arises at night, reach there immediately and provide relief to the common people.

Devnani inspected the waterlogged area

On Friday, Speaker Vasudev Devnani inspected waterlogged areas of Ajmer including Foy Sagar, Hathi Kheda, Raj Colony, Bandi river flow area, Gyan Vihar, B.K. Call Nagar, Ganpati Nagar, Moti Vihar, Cine World, Mittal Hospital, Sagar Vihar, Vaishali Nagar, Panchsheel, Lohagal, Jaipur Road and other areas. He reviewed the situation arising due to overflow of Foy Sagar Lake and excessive flow in Bandi River. He said that water should be drained out immediately from the areas where water is filled. Similarly, start immediately improving the waterlogging situation at various places in the Bandi river flow area. He also reviewed the road, waterlogging and electricity system in all the areas of the city. He instructed all the concerned departments to start their work soon. He gave necessary instructions in view of waterlogging in Ana Sagar Lake.
