Ajmer : Heavy rain continues in Rajasthan. Today also, it is raining heavily in many districts including the capital. Due to continuous rain, life has been disrupted in many districts of the state. Due to rain, holiday has been declared in all government and private schools of Ajmer for two days from today. Ajmer Collector Bharti Dixit issued this order on Monday morning. In such a situation, all schools will remain closed here on 5th and 6th August. At the same time, due to heavy rain, holiday has been declared for all schools on August 5 in 6 districts of the state apart from Ajmer. In view of the orange alert in Barmer, on the instructions of the District Collector, the Education Department has declared holiday on August 5 for students from class 1 to 12 in government and non-government schools and Anganwadis. In Jaisalmer, Chief District Education Officer Naina Ram Jani has declared holiday in all schools on Monday. Apart from this, holiday has been declared for schools on Monday in Tonk, Pali and Balotra.
Rain in Bundi since late night, schools closed
Rain has been continuing in Bundi district since late night. Due to heavy rain, Bundi District Collector Akshay Godara has declared a holiday for schools today. As such, students up to 12th standard are on holiday today in government and non-government schools. Please note that due to heavy rains in Lakheri subdivision area since late evening, rivers and streams are overflowing. Ramganj stream of Laban-Dangaheri road is overflowing due to rain. Due to heavy rains at night in village Chhappanpura, Omprakash Meena’s house collapsed. However, luckily there was no loss of life.
Rain alert in these districts today
The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for very heavy rain in Pali, Nagaur, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer and Barmer today. At the same time, a yellow alert has been issued for heavy rain in Sirohi, Sikar, Bikaner, Churu, Jalore and Ajmer. Apart from this, there is a possibility of rain in other districts.
