Jaipur : Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma’s Rising Rajasthan campaign, launched with the aim of attracting investors in Rajasthan, seems to be yielding results. Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma is currently on a visit to South Korea with the aim of inviting foreign investors to the Rising Rajasthan Summit to be held in Jaipur in December. After meeting representatives of several South Korean companies, positive signs have been received from the point of view of promoting investment in the state.
Many companies including Samsung and Orion indicated plans to increase business
On the second day of the visit of the high-level delegation of Rajasthan government led by Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, several South Korean companies have shown their interest in exploring opportunities in the state and expanding their business in the state. This includes many other South Korean companies including Samsung Healthcare, LX International, Orion Corporation, Hyosung Corporation as well as Korean Stone Association.
Samsung shows interest in providing AI-based healthcare devices
During discussions with the delegation, Samsung Healthcare showed its interest in working with the Medical and Health Department of Rajasthan to provide new AI-based healthcare devices. Orion Corporation discussed its expansion plans for Rajasthan, highlighting its Bhiwadi manufacturing plant.
LX International shows interest in mining sector
Another South Korean firm LX International has expressed interest in working in the mining sector of the state, especially in areas such as limestone (steel grade), silica, gypsum, lignite, rare earth minerals and renewable energy. Another leading South Korean firm Hyosung Corporation is looking to locally produce carbon fibre in India. The Rajasthan government delegation also participated in a randtable discussion with representatives of Korean Stone Association today, in which technical cooperation, purchase/distribution of stones produced in Rajasthan and increasing exports from the state were discussed.
Korean delegation will visit Rajasthan in October
The possibilities of enhancing cooperation between the Korean Stone Association and the Centre for Development of Stones, an undertaking of the Rajasthan government, were also discussed. A delegation of the Korean Stone Association will visit Rajasthan in October. During the discussion, the state government delegation also invited them to the India Stone Mart 2026 to be held in Jaipur in February 2026.
CM Sharma also reached Seoul Technical High School
The delegation led by the Chief Minister also visited Seoul Technical High School today and discussed mutual cooperation between South Korea and Rajasthan Skill and Livelihoods Development Corporation for imparting skill training to the youth of Rajasthan. During this, the Hon’ble Chief Minister also visited the Advanced Technical Center of the school, witnessed remarkable initiatives promoting innovation and creativity among the students, interacted with the students and experienced the highly advanced AI technology being taught in the classrooms.
CM asked technical high school to open branch in Rajasthan
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma said that it is important to focus on skill development to provide employment to the youth. The knowledge gained from practical implementation of skills and vocational training makes the youth dynamic and practical apart from theoretical understanding. I invite this prestigious institute to come to Rajasthan and set up an institute in the state. Addressing investors at the Seoul Investors Meet a day earlier, the CM had said that his government is laying great emphasis on qualitative improvement in education and skill training in the state.
South Korea visit concluded, now CM Sharma reached Japan
With these meetings, the state government delegation has completed its South Korea tour and will now travel to Japan in view of preparations for the ‘Rising Rajasthan’ Global Investment Summit 2024. The high-level delegation accompanying the Chief Minister to South Korea includes Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Prem Chand Bairwa, Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister Shikhar Aggarwal, Principal Secretary to Industries and Commerce Ajitabh Sharma, and other top officials of the Rajasthan government.
About ‘Rising Rajasthan’ Global Investment Summit 2024
The ‘Rising Rajasthan’ Global Investment Summit 2024 will be held in the capital Jaipur on 9, 10 and 11 December this year. It is being organized under the aegis of the Government of Rajasthan in collaboration with the Department of Industry and Commerce, Bureau of Investment Promotion (BIP) and Rajasthan State Industrial Development and Investment Corporation (RIICO), whose nodal department is BIP. The first investor meet of this investment summit was held in Mumbai on 30 August. During this, the Rajasthan government signed MoUs worth more than Rs 4.5 lakh crore with various companies.

Many domestic and foreign companies will participate in the three-day summit
The objective of this three-day mega summit is to invite big and small companies, international organizations and investors from the country and abroad to come and work in the state, help in setting up various types of industries in the state and provide other facilities. During this global summit, special sessions will be organized on various sectors including agriculture, renewable energy, education and skills, auto and EV (electric vehicles), infrastructure, chemical and petro-chemical, tourism, startup, mining and ESDM/IT and ITes.
