Jaipur : RPSC has been formed to conduct various competitive examinations in Rajasthan. The Commission is making continuous efforts to stop cheating in these examinations. Earlier, RPSC had decided to approach the High Court regarding ineligible candidates, after which now it has decided to stop dummy candidates in the examination. For this he is going to take the help of biometric system. Which he is going to implement on trial basis during the interview verification of the candidates. The scheme of biometric system of Rajasthan Public Service Commission has also been approved by the Union Ministry.
Real and fake will be identified through fingers and face
Due to the increasing interference of dummy candidates in the examination, RPSC is taking this step so that the students appearing in the exam remain afraid of it. If this effort of RPSC is successful, it will become very easy for the Commission to identify dummy candidates in every upcoming competitive examination. Because the registration of the student appearing in the examination through this system is like Aadhar card.
Biometric system will be used to enter the examination center
Giving more information about this, Commission Secretary Ramniwas Mehta said that the biometric system is like an online attendance register to verify the identity of the Aadhaar card (UIDAI) holder. In this, biometrics of fingers, face and eye pupils are taken. When candidates go to the site to apply for any examination and do one time registration, at that time they will have to provide all the information including their Aadhar card number, date of birth (DOB) in the SSO portal. After that, when the student reaches the examination center to take the examination, he will have to scan his thumb impression on the biometric machine there, after this, if all the information given by the candidate in the application is found correct, then he will be allowed to enter the examination center. Will be given, otherwise he will be caught by the staff present in the examination center considering him as a dummy candidate.
RPSC has been trying for the last 6 months
In this regard, Secretary Ramniwas Mehta said that the Commission was continuously discussing with the Central Ministry for the last 6 months. After the proposal of the Commission, the Personnel Department of the State Government had written a letter in this regard to the Ministry of Information on 8 May 2024. After this, the Government of India asked the Commission to provide information to the candidates under Section 4 of the Aadhaar Act 2016 and Certification Rules 2020 for Aadhaar and Good Governance. The purpose of verifying the identity through biometrics is allowed.
