Dungarpur : Dungarpur Under the Sub-National Pulse Polio Campaign, polio doses were administered to children aged 0 to 5 years on Sunday and Monday. In which 2 drops of bivalent oral polio vaccine was given to 147970 children at the polio booth on Sunday. On Monday, 37395 polio doses were administered. CMHO Dr. Alankar Gupta said that against the target of 222760 in the district, 83 percent achievement was achieved in two days.
From city to village, district and block level officers and depot in-charges ensured quality by effectively monitoring the campaign. RCHO Dr. Lokesh Kumar Parmar inspected most of the urban and rural booths including Block Jhothri, while ACMHO Dr. Vipin Meena inspected polio booths in Chikhali and Galiyakot blocks. DPM Jitin Jonwal monitored the polio doses being administered in various booths of Block Simalwada and Bichhiwada. WHO team members along with polio booths at various places across the district administered polio vaccine to 5 year old children from door to door. RCHO Dr. Lokesh Kumar Parmar said that the four-member team working at the polio booth will be divided into two teams on Tuesday and will go door-to-door in the entire district to immunize the children who were deprived of drinking medicine at the booth, against polio. During the home visit, marking will be done on the basis of children’s presence, absence and consumption of polio vaccine. The campaign will continue until 100 percent children are immunized.
