Dungarpur: 3 smugglers arrested with beer worth Rs 1.25 lakh, FIR registered

Dungarpur : Sagwara police station of Dungarpur has seized a pickup with illegal beer. The pickup was filled with 100 cases of beer. Whom they were planning to smuggle to Gujarat. Police have arrested 3 accused of smuggling liquor. The police are currently interrogating the smugglers.

Sagwada police station officer Prabhulal said that a campaign is being run against illegal liquor smuggling. Under this, blockade was done at Panchvati Tiraha on Galiyakot Road. While searching the vehicles, a pickup was signaled to stop, but the driver got scared after seeing the police. He turned the pickup back and tried to run away. On which the police chased and stopped. There were 3 people sitting in the pickup. Who declared their names as Rajesh (27) son of Gulab Aad, Keshavlal (28) son of Gautamlal Ninama Meena and Kalpesh (37) son of Manoharlal Kalal resident of Surwania Banswara. On enquiry, the pickup was found to be filled with empty plastic carts. Upon search, 15 empty carats were found filled with beer boxes.

No documents regarding transportation of liquor were found with the accused. On which the police seized the pickup along with the beer and took it to the police station. 100 boxes of beer were found in the pickup. Whose market price is said to be around Rs 1.25 lakh. The police have arrested all three accused. The accused were smuggling liquor boxes and taking them to Gujarat. At present the police is interrogating all three.
