Dungarpur : Food and Civil Supplies Department has given instructions to seed the LPG ID of each food security beneficiary in the POS machine through ration dealers across the district including the city. Due to departmental orders, the ration dealer is stuck in seeding the KYC and LPG ID of food security consumers during wheat distribution since last 5th November. But the system of the department has become a big hurdle in this work. District President of Ration Dealers Association, Rakesh Jain said that due to POS machines not being served for several hours, LPG seeding work could not be done due to lack of e-KYC for the consumers. Used to be. On the other hand, KYC of children and elderly people is not possible due to lack of fingerprints. Although the government has given relaxation in KYC for children aged between 0 to 5 years, KYC for the elderly is not being done. At the same time, due to the beneficiary family members being employed abroad and in other states, LPG seeding work is not being done due to lack of KYC of the other members.
The list of removal of names from ration dealers has been submitted to the department. But the process of removing names is being adopted very slowly by the department. Till now 33.90 percent LPG seeding and 84.40 percent KYC work has been completed in the district. Only three days are left for KYC and seeding. These days, due to the government issuing any new guidelines regarding extending the date, the department is putting pressure on ration dealers to get KYC and seeding done. This has created anger among them. Around 564 ration dealers across the district are owed commission of more than Rs 1 crore for the three months of January, February and March of the year 2023. At the same time, there is anger among ration dealers due to not getting ration commission for five months in the year 2024.
He said that if the outstanding commission is not paid by December, they will go on strike from January 1. So far, 45 thousand 574 LPG IDs have been seeded in the district with 33.90 percent seeding. Aspur 6211, Bichhiwada 3227, Chikhali 1693, Dovda 4512, Dungarpur city 4704, Dungarpur rural 2314, Galiyakot 3307, Jhothari 2657, Sabala 4366, Sagwada city 9186, Sagwada rural 1094, Seemalwada. 2303 LPG seedings have been done so far. ^Many types of problems are being faced in LPG seeding work.
