Dungarpur 37 thousand surplus teachers will be transferred in the middle of the session

Dungarpur : Dungarpur The education department releases new announcements every day. Now in the current academic session, the Education Department has started the exercise to adjust the surplus teachers and personnel in schools across the state including the district. Block-wise lists of surplus teachers have been sought from the district education officers. According to the time frame, post-wise lists of surplus personnel will be ready by November 25 and posting orders will be issued by December 6. But there is confusion regarding the process by which the surplus personnel will be posted. There are many discrepancies in the instructions issued by the Education Department, in which counseling is not mentioned. In such a situation, teachers are in a dilemma because the policy to be adopted regarding posting of teachers who get priority in case of surplus is not clear.

On the other hand, on November 20 itself, the Education Department has promoted 10530 senior teachers to lecturer posts. Promoted lecturers have been proposed to be posted on vacant posts through counselling. It does not seem possible to complete this process before December 6. If adjustment of surplus teachers takes place before the posting of promoted lecturers, the mathematics of vacant posts will again get distorted. Teachers organizations have demanded adjustment of surplus teachers only after the posting of promoted lecturers.

Counseling was done four years ago

Surplus teachers were posted about four years ago also. At that time, teachers were posted on vacant posts only through counselling. Counseling was done at the district level for posting surplus teachers in the education session 2018-19. During that time, women were posted on priority basis. But, this time no such arrangement is visible at present. In such a situation, the government and the education department may have to face opposition from teacher organizations later.
