Dungarpur action will be taken on negligence, report will have to be given every fortnight

Dungarpur : Dungarpur: Negligence in registering the attendance of workers through NMMS under Mahatma Gandhi NREGA scheme can prove costly. It is now being taken seriously after deficiencies have come to light in the random checking of labor presence in the districts by the Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department. Under this, regular monitoring of the attendance of workers will be done by appointing nodal officers at the district and block level. Earlier instructions had been given in this regard, but now strict action is being taken against negligence at some level. Now the District Program Coordinator will get 100% of the muster rolls uploaded every fortnight by the team formed at the district and block level to check the presence of workers being uploaded on NREGA Soft through NMMS. Strict action will be taken against deficiencies during monitoring.

These shortcomings have come to light on NMMS

Not uploading clear photographs of workers.

Uploading the photo of the vacant place despite the presence of workers being recorded on the muster roll.

Uploading the same photo repeatedly in different musterrolls.

Difference between the number of workers shown in the photo at work and the worker attendance recorded on the muster roll of that day.

Difference in the number of workers in the photo taken before and after noon. ,

In MNREGA, where irregularities are found in the muster roll of those works, the mate authorized for the muster roll of those works will be blacklisted. Additionally, his ID will also be deleted from NMMS. The work task of the Village Development Officer, Personnel, JTA of the concerned Gram Panchayat will be reduced to zero accordingly. This will not be paid by the Development Officer. Information about the action taken every fortnight will have to be given to higher officials. Disciplinary action will be taken against district and block level officials for negligence in this.
