Dungarpur : District level felicitation ceremony was organized on International Day of Disabled Persons under the joint aegis of Dungarpur District Administration and Social Justice and Empowerment Department Dungarpur and Tapas Educational Rehabilitation and Research Institute. The function was inaugurated by Deputy Director of Social Justice and Empowerment Department, Ashok Kumar Sharma by flagging off the rally of the disabled people.
The rally started from Tapas Sansthan Subhash Nagar, went to Maharana Pratap Circle and again came to Tapas Sansthan and turned into a meeting in which the disabled people expressed their views and cultural programs were also presented by the disabled people. In a function organized at the District Collectorate, garland, shawl, uparna, citation and memento were given to disabled person Shekhar Bhoi, who has done excellent work in the field of disability, and Dr. Vijay Chaturvedi, director of Tapas Sansthan, for doing excellent work in the district in the field of welfare of disabled people. Was honored at district level. At the function, Additional District Collector Dinesh Dhakad said that service to the disabled is the biggest service.
Also, Kuldeep Sutrakar, Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Dungarpur, said that every necessary facility should be provided to the disabled people, no disabled person should be deprived of any kind of facility. In the ceremony, Deputy Director of Social Justice and Empowerment Department, Dungarpur, Ashok Kumar Sharma introduced all the special talents and provided information about the schemes run by the State Government and the Government of India for the disabled. Assistant Director of Child Empowerment Department Pinky Meena, Thawarchand Bhagora, Kuldeep Nanoma, Manish Kumar Jogid, Bhajanlal, Santosh Katara, Dikshant Padya and disabled people etc. were present in the ceremony.
