Dungarpur : There is a possibility of running a train with electric engine from Asarwa in Ahmedabad to Udaipur in the new year. The work of electrification of the railway line is in the final stage and inspection speed trial has been proposed on 19 and 20 December. Meanwhile, an electric goods train from Asarva reached Himatnagar railway station for the first time on Monday night. After the announcement of electrification of Asarwa-Udaipur railway line, the electrification work from Asarwa to Himatnagar has been completed by Western Railway. On the other hand, the electrification work of North Western Railway from Himatnagar to Bichhiwara is also going on at war speed and is in the final stage. At the same time, electrification work from Bichhiwara to Udaipur is also almost complete. The work of charging electric lines has also been done. North Western Railway will inspect the electric electrification line from Bichhiwara to Himatnagar on 19th and 20th December. After this speed trial will be done. After this, there is a possibility of running a train with electric engine from Asarwa to Udaipur in the new year.
Dungarpur bridge will be built
After electrification of the railway line from Asarwa to Udaipur, the Udaipur rail route will be connected to Southern India via Ahmedabad. Along with this, the proposal of Ajmer Railway User Consultative Committee member Jayesh Champawat regarding extension of Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Somnath trains from Ahmedabad to Udaipur and running of Okha-Nathdwara train via Himatnagar is likely to be implemented. After the completion of electrification work between Asarwa and Himatnagar by Western Railway, inspection and speed trial was conducted. Later the green signal was given to start the electric train. With the commencement of electrification work, the journey from Dungarpur district to Delhi may also become easier.
