Dungarpur exam fees increased, school budget messed up

Dungarpur : Dungarpur After a long struggle, the Education Department has finally declared the time table and guidelines for the half-yearly examination for the academic session 2024-25. In the current academic session, six-monthly examinations will be held from December 17 to December 27. At the same time, practical and local examinations will be held at the school level between 12th to 16th December. This time the biggest change has been the increase in examination fees. Till now, a maximum of Rs 8-8 each and Rs 16 were being charged in the name of six-monthly and annual examination. But, in the new system it has been directly reduced to Rs 20. This will directly hit the student funds of the schools.

Till now this was the fee

This year, by removing the District Common Examination Committee, a State Level Examination Committee has been formed and examinations will be conducted through it only. According to the earlier arrangement, a total of Rs 16 was being charged for the students of class 9th and 11th including Rs 8 per student for the half-yearly examination and Rs 8 for the annual examination. At the same time, only Rs 8 was being charged for the six-monthly examination in class 10th and 12th board. But, now Rs 20 per student will be charged from students of class 9 to 12. Apart from this, a provision has also been made to take additional amount if required in the annual examination. The financial burden on schools facing the financial crisis will double.
