Dungarpur : A case of extorting money and gold and silver jewelery from a young man in the name of marriage has come to light in the rehabilitation colony of the police station area. The young man has given a report on this in the police station. It was told in the report that the marriage of Monica, wife of Kapil Kadam’s sister, resident of Madhya Pradesh was done in Gamda Brahmaniya of Oberi. Due to this, Monica kept coming and going to Gamda Brahmania. During this time Monica met Naveen son Manoharlal Kalal, resident of Rehabilitation Colony Sagwara. Naveen discusses his marriage with Monica. Monica promised to get married soon and asked for four lakh rupees in return. Naveen agreed with this. A few days later, Monica came to Naveen’s house with four-five girls and asked him to like a girl.
On this, Naveen liked a girl named Rakhi, daughter of Matadeen, resident of Jhansi. After conversation between both the parties, the applicant was told about coming to Rakhi’s village to get married. The applicant along with his family members reached Rakhi’s house for marriage on March 6, 2024 and he got married. After marriage, get the affidavit written in the court premises. After the marriage, the applicant gave the fixed amount of Rs 4 lakh to Monica and came home with the wedding procession. After four months of marriage, Rakhi got worried about Rakhi festival. After this she did not return. Rakhi had left the house carrying 47 thousand rupees in cash along with gold and silver jewellery. When Rakhi did not return home, Naveen went to Jhansi on 19 October. There Rakhi’s family members abused the applicant, beat him up and threw him out of the house. At the same time, the family members threatened to kill his wife if she came to pick him up and asked for money. Out of fear the applicant returned home empty handed and reported at Sagwada police station. Based on the report, the police have registered the case and started investigation.
