Dungarpur schools lack budget, work is going on by borrowing

Dungarpur : Dungarpur State Government every year releases the amount of Composite School Grant for meeting the general educational, co-educational and physical needs of government primary, upper primary and higher secondary schools, replacement of old equipment and school cleanliness action plan. But due to non-release of composite grant amount for the last six months, teachers have to survive on market borrowings. It is noteworthy that the composite grant amount is used to fulfill the educational-co-scholastic needs of the school. The composite grant amount is released to the school in one lump sum and the school does not have to worry about small expenses.

Amount not received yet

The new academic session 2024-25 has started from July 1 across the state including the district. Even after half of the session has passed, the composite grant amount has not been released to the schools. Due to this, the schools are facing problems even for small expenses. Due to non-release of the composite amount, the head of the institution is in a dilemma whether to spend the amount in advance or not. The biggest problem is being faced by the heads of primary and upper primary schools. Here the amount of student fund remains zero.
