Dungarpur : Bichhiwada police station of Dungarpur district, while taking action against illegal drug smuggling, has seized a truck and arrested two accused. The accused were transporting drugs under the guise of wheat to Gujarat. Police are thoroughly interrogating the accused in the case. According to the information, blockade was being done by the police in front of Ratanpur post. During this time a truck was seen coming from Bichhiwada side. When the truck was stopped, two persons were seen sitting inside. On getting information about the goods loaded in the truck, both of them told to transport the wheat to Gujarat.
When he asked for the bill, he did not have any documents. Both of them became nervous when they got other information. On this the cabin of the truck was searched. On which three different white plastic bags and a big plastic bag were seen towards the driver’s seat. On seeking information about which both could not give satisfactory answers. After this, on opening them, doda powder and opium were found. Police seized 42 kg of doda powder and 0.38 grams of opium from the truck and arrested Narayanlal son of Ganesh Meghwal, resident of Mangalwada, Chittorgarh and Sunderlal son of Chunnilal, resident of Fatehnagar, Udaipur. The accused were delivering these drugs to Gujarat. Police are engaged in detailed investigation in this matter.
