Dungarpur : At around 10 pm on Thursday late night in Shastri Colony of Dungarpur city, a speeding Scorpio hit an auto parked on the roadside and a young man sitting on the stairs of a shop. The young man was seriously injured in the accident. According to the information, Shastri Colony resident Honey Shrimal was sitting on the stairs of the shop located on the main road after leaving home on Thursday when a speeding Scorpio near the old bus stand collided with a loading auto parked on the roadside. Due to the collision, the loading auto hit Honey’s son Virendra Kumar Shrimal who was sitting on the stairs of Mewar Furniture.
After hitting the auto, the Scorpio went ahead and stopped after hitting the stairs of another shop. When the car stopped, the driver sitting inside ran away from the spot. Neighboring people took the injured youth to Dungarpur District Hospital with the help of a private vehicle. The young man suffered serious injuries to his head, mouth, hands and legs in the accident. After giving first aid to the district hospital, the injured youth was referred. Here, after receiving the information, Kotwali police reached the spot and seized the car. Police is searching for the car driver.
