Dungarpur Water did not reach Jaspur-Lilwasa Minor, land remained dry

Dungarpur : For sowing of Rabi crop from the biggest Som Kamla Amba Dam of Dungarpur district, water flow has been started in the canals from 8th November, but even after 16 days, due to lack of water in the minor, hundreds of bighas of land are lying dry. Is. A similar case is being seen in Jaspur-Lilwasa Minor coming out of BBC Canal. Due to which there is anger among the farmers. Farmers gathered at Jaspur BBC Canal on Sunday morning regarding the problem of no water in the minor and called the departmental officials on phone explaining the problem and demanding a solution.

The block itself is minor, how will water reach it?

Farmers Kachru Patidar, Ratan Patidar, Tajeng Patidar, Khemraj Patidar, Lokesh Patidar etc. told that during the summer and rainy season, rain water was poured into the said minor under the repair of BBC canal of Som Kamla Amba. Due to which minor block occurred. The minor gate from BBC canal was also opened but water did not come into the latch. Whereas the minor was about thirty meters underground, the farmers dug it out about 20 feet at their personal expense and opened it, but now due to fear of soil collapse, the farmers are demanding from the department to provide water to the minor with the help of machinery.
