Sirohi : RIICO police station of Abu Road in Sirohi district took a major action on Thursday and seized cash worth more than Rs 7 crore from a car at Maval outpost. Police have detained two people in this case. According to the police, such a huge amount being seized without documents could amount to hawala. This matter is being thoroughly investigated. It took about three hours for the police to count the money from the machine. During this, Mount Abu DSP Gomaram was also present. Police officer Sitaram Panwar said that during the blockade on Thursday evening, the Creta car was stopped at Maval post and investigated. Cash worth Rs 7 crore 1 lakh 99 thousand was found in the car. When both the people in the car were interrogated, they could not give satisfactory answers about the cash. On this, the money was seized and the car driver Sanjay Rawal son of Raju Bhai Rawal, Rawadapura, Visnagar, Mehsana, Gujarat and Dawood Sindhi son of Suleman Bhai, Goradh, Mehsana, Gujarat were detained.

Machine ordered from bank, took 3 hours to count notes

There was so much cash that a note counting machine was ordered from the bank and the notes were counted. It took about three hours to count the notes. This amount was being taken from Delhi to Ahmedabad.

Money found in box under seat

Police said that the cash was kept in a box under the seat of the car. Which was confiscated.
