Nagaur : A shocking case has come to light from Kuchaman City of Rajasthan. Here a 30 cm long worm has come out of the stomach of a young man. At present, the health of the young man is completely fine. Actually, the 30-year-old youth had been complaining of stomach pain for a long time. He was also taking medicine to get rid of this pain for many days, but the medicine provided relief only for a short time. In such a situation, the doctors suggested him to get sonography done.
Doctors were shocked while doing sonography
When the young man’s sonography was done, the doctors were shocked to see the scene inside his stomach. Because there was an adult worm (roundworm) in the small intestine. So the next day the young man was given albendazole and the 30 cm long worm was removed.
Insects can come due to these reasons
However, this is not the first such case. Many such cases have come to light before this. What happens is that small children often put mud or dirty hands in their mouth. In such a situation, worms come in their stomach. This also happens due to eating unwashed vegetables or fruits.
24% cases in India, most children affected
Radiologist Dr Pradeep Chaudhary says in this regard that according to the World Health Organization, about 24% of the world’s population is infected with these stomach worms. But only 27 percent of the cases are in India. Its effect is mostly seen in small children. However, their treatment is also easy.
The doctor told how to take precautions
Chowdhary explains that it is commonly called worm infection. To avoid this, one should never go out in the open. Hands should always be washed before and after eating. The fruits and vegetables that we use should also be washed properly. The only way to prevent this disease is hygiene.
