E-rickshaws will be operated according to police stations in Jaipur, Collector’s order

Jaipur : District Collector Prakash Rajpurohit has issued a new notification to streamline the operation of e-rickshaws in Jaipur city. Under this, e-rickshaws will now be operated according to the boundaries of the respective police station. According to the information, currently more than 40 thousand e-rickshaws are operating in Jaipur city. Notification has been issued to operate them systematically. According to this, 8500 e-rickshaws will run under pink color code in 9 police station areas in Jaipur North (Zone-1). Light green color code will be under 13 police stations in Jaipur East (Zone-2) and 7500 e-rickshaws will operate. Similarly, sky blue color code has been fixed for 12 police stations in Jaipur Central (Zone-3), in which 7500 e-rickshaws will run. 8500 e-rickshaws have been allowed under saffron color code for 7 police station areas of Jaipur South (Zone-4).

7500 e-rickshaws will operate with light yellow colour code in the area of ​​11 police stations in Jaipur West (Zone-5). 500 e-rickshaws will operate under white colour code around Jaipur Metro stations. The aim of this notification is to improve the traffic system in the city and provide proper instructions to e-rickshaw operators. Jaipur has 40,000 e-rickshaws

Charging stations will be built, QR code will be issued

More than 100 charging stations will be built in Jaipur city for charging e-rickshaws. Along with this, a QR code will be issued to every rickshaw, which will be scanned and all the information of the e-rickshaw i.e. route, insurance, owner’s name etc. will be available. Land for parking will be provided by the Municipal Corporation. Implementation of this policy will provide relief from traffic jams. For this, a joint committee of transport, traffic police and corporation officials was formed.
