Pali : Pali In the case of fatal attack on a young man about two years ago, the judge of the Scheduled Caste Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities) Court of Pali found the accused guilty and sentenced him to eight years in prison under two different sections. Special Public Prosecutor Laduram Mewada of Scheduled Caste Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities) Court said that Ganeshram, son of Kenaram, resident of Keshav Nagar, was arrested at Kotwali police station on 17 April 2022. Meghwal told in the report that Raju, a resident of Keshav Nagar, started taking away the wood lying in front of his house. On being interrupted, he was beaten. When he shouted, his son Mukesh and other family members came out. He tried to reason with accused Raju. But, he attacked his son Mukesh with a sharp knife and ran away.
The police registered the case and investigated and arrested the accused and presented him in the court. From where he was sent to judicial custody. Judge Nihalchand of Pali’s Scheduled Caste Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities) Court heard the matter on Wednesday. After the debate of the advocates of both the parties and the statements of the witnesses, he held the accused Raju (24), son of Lalaram, resident of Keshav Nagar, guilty of murderous attack and sentenced him to seven years’ imprisonment and a fine of five thousand rupees. In another section, he was sentenced to one year imprisonment and a fine of one thousand rupees. The special thing is that both the punishments will be served separately. In such a situation, the accused was sentenced to eight years. In this case, the judge recommended compensation to the victim Ganeshram and his son Mukesh under the Rajasthan Victim Compensation Scheme 2011.
