Mumbai, November 27 (IANS). The doubt over the Chief Minister that has been going on in Maharashtra for several days ended on Wednesday with the press conference of Shiv Sena President Eknath Shinde. The outgoing Chief Minister said that whatever decision the Bharatiya Janata Party leadership takes, it will be acceptable to him. He also said that the next CM of the state will be from BJP. Senior BJP leader and outgoing Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis said that there are no differences in Mahayuti.
Speaking to reporters in Mumbai, Fadnavis said, “There have never been any differences among anyone in our grand alliance. We have always taken decisions together and even before the elections we had said that after the elections we will sit together and take decisions.” Eknath Shinde has done the work of clearing the minds of those who had some doubts. We will soon sit with our leaders and take an appropriate decision.
On the question of when the government will be formed, he said smilingly, “You guys wait for a little more time.”
Earlier, Eknath Shinde cleared the way for the next CM in Maharashtra in a press conference today. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s decision to make him the CM will be universally accepted. BJP’s CM will be acceptable to him.
He said, “There is no hindrance from my side to form the government in Maharashtra. Whatever decision PM Modi takes, I will accept it. I stand with PM Modi like a rock. PM Modi also stands with me like a rock.” I will accept the decision of PM Modi and Amit Shah. Mahayuti is strong and we are ready to work together.”
