Jaipur : The nomination process started from Friday with the release of notification for by-elections on seven assembly seats of Rajasthan, but no nominations were submitted on the first day. On the other hand, it has become clear from the notification that on November 13, voting will be held from 7 am to 6 pm.

By-elections are being held in Jhunjhunu, Dausa, Ramgarh, Deoli-Uniara, Khinvsar, Salumber and Chaurasi assembly constituencies in the state, the last date of nomination for which is October 25. According to Chief Electoral Officer Naveen Mahajan, nominations will not be submitted on Sunday. He said that at the time of nomination, only a maximum of 5 persons including the candidate will be able to enter the Returning Officer’s office. Apart from this, the candidates will not be able to enter with more than three vehicles within a radius of 100 meters of the Returning Officer’s office premises. Along with the nomination form, general candidates will have to deposit Rs 10,000 and Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates will have to deposit Rs 5,000.
